Sports Medicine On The Road

Dr. David S. Pascal was on hand in Helsinki, Finland from August 6-14, treating athletes at the Tenth World Track & Field Championships. Several of the event's top competitors are regular patients of Dr. Pascal's, and many others sought him out at trackside to take advantage of his care during the grueling days of competition.

When the games concluded in Helsinki, Dr. Pascal went on to Zurich for the world circuit's number one invitational track meet, Weltklasse which took place on August 19. Earlier this year, he worked at 2 other international track meets as well as at the U.S. National Track & Field Championships where his patient athletes competed in 11 events and won 3 national titles.

At one time a world class runner himself, Dr. Pascal knows personally the rigors and effects of competition at this very high level. This special knowledge uniquely qualifies him to develop customized protocols for each athlete that comes to him for treatment. This all-important care, which may include cold laser therapy, chiropractic care, allergy treatment, nutritional counseling and other cutting edge sports medicine techniques, helps these elite athletes to stay injury-free longer, to recover more quickly if they are injured, and to keep improving their personal best performances.
